My Improvised LAsagna

Selalunya makan lasagna di Santai Cafe atau Pizza Hut..
Tapi, makin lama makin x sedap rasanya di kedua2 tempat tu..
Since it is my children's & beloved hb's favourite (semuanya favourite diaorg ek!),
I think I should learn to make a good one....
They love the melting cheese in lasagna so mine is rich!
And they love the taste of tomatoes..so mine is heaven with it!
I googled & looked up for a recommended recipe but most of them r recommended..
I don't even know which to follow...
So, i gathered them  all & make one for my family..

LASAGNA, OLYN'S VERSION....

4 sheets of lasagna
grated mozarella
grated parmesan

2 Onion, diced
4 ripe tomatoes, diced
A clove of garlic
Minced meat
4 tomatoes (blanched in hot water,skinned, seeded & mince roughly)
Fresh @ ground basil
Fresh @ ground oregano
Fresh parsley @ our own parsley, i.e daun sup! , chopped
Carrot, diced
Capsicum, all 3 colours & diced
A glass of water
Salt to taste~~~~~or....
u can just get a jar of pasta sauce from the grocery!
But add in the water to it...

How to make the sauce?heat some olive oil & throw in the onion & garlic.. Let it caramelized .
Then add in the beef & let it brown.
Add the diced tomatoes & the blanched tomatoes.
Throw in the salt, pepper & herbs,carrots & other vegetables as u desire.
As it simmers, pour in the water... Then, heat off@


White Parmesan sauce
2 tablespoons butter
4 tablespoons plain flour
2 cups milk or more as desired
salt, pepper, pinch nutmeg
Grated cheddar cheese / the sliced cheedar also cannnnn....
2 spoonsful of grated parmesan cheese


How to make the white sauce?
Heat up the butter.
Stir the plain flour . 
TAke off the heat  & pour in milk.
add in salt,pepper & nutmeg
then, mix the cheese into the milk mixture
Keep on stirring until it bubble.
Put aside.

How to assemble the lasagna? 
Preheat oven to 190-200 deg cel.
Begi  layering all ingredients with a few spoonful of the tomato sauce.
Follow with the lasagna sheet.
Then the white parmesan sauce & grated @shredded mozarella & grated parmesan.
Repeat until dish is filled.
I only made 2 layers for each baking dish...
Cover it with oil-sprayed foil.
BAked approximately for 45 mins.
Then, uncover the dish & bake again for 15-20 mins.
When it is nicely done, off heat & cool off few minutes before cutting..
Walla! 

#if u love cheese, just spread  in more!
There are some recipes with skimmed  ricotta cheese.
I looked for it in all the supermarkets in Kuantan to find none!
Just omit it..

# I didn't cook the lasagna sheet before hand as I made my sauce a bit too watery..
Just let it cook while baking the dish.
    These can be added to your tomato sauce when it’s finished. Just stir in and warm through:
     #Add a handful of baby spinach leaves to the sauce at the same time you add the pasta—when the leaves have wilted remove from the heat and serve with some crumbled goat’s cheese on top.
    # A few handfuls of cooked shrimp and a handful of chopped arugula with the juice of ½ a lemon.
    #A can of tuna drained and flaked into the sauce with ½ teaspoon of ground cinnamon, some black olives and the juice of ½ a lemon.
