Chocolate Chips With Extra Chips...

Promised the kids to make chocolate chips for them this week,,,
It's not as Amos Famous's but they love it..
It's not up to my scale but it's good enough..
I'll have to have a better recipe...
I prepared the mixture before noon and only baked them later of the day..

Chocolate Chips With  Extra Chips..
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour / Self-raising flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup softened butter
  • 3/4 cup fine granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon fine salt
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup almond nibs

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Sift and mix well the flour, cocoa powder, and baking soda.
  2. Beat the butter, fine granulated sugar, and brown sugar with an electric mixer in a large bowl until smooth. Add in salt. Beat in one egg until completely incorporated. Beat in the last egg along with the vanilla. Mix in the flour mixture until just incorporated. Fold in the chocolate chips and almonds; mixing just enough to evenly combine. Drop by heaped teaspoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven until the edges are golden, 9 to 12 minutes. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 1 minute before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.

I added an extra cup of chocolate chips into the mixture.

Cool off on the wire rack before before filling the cookie jar with them..
Keep them in an airtight container ..

Pst! You could cut off the sugar as it 's a bit too sweet for me.. Only for ME!
But the kids love them as they are...
Happy Baking:))
